TOP 3 SAFETY TIPS:

• Tip #1: Watch out for TOO HOT - Paw Protect is great for hot surfaces, but there’s a limit!
  
  If outside temperatures are over 85° F that means concrete can be as hot at 140° F.  That’s way too hot for doggie paws.
  
  When in doubt, do a quick test by putting your own hand (or foot) on the pavement for 7-10 seconds.  If you can stand it, it’s probably okay for your pup.
  
  
• Tip #2: Avoid getting TOO SOFT - More isn’t always better!  Please avoid over-moisturizing paw pads as softening them too much can increase the chances of abrasion or slipping.
  
  Usually 2-3 applications per day is enough to do the trick (spaced throughout the day or as needed).  You can always apply more in harsh or dry environments (like sandy or salty areas).  Your judgment is your best tool.
  
  
• Tip #3: Be mindful of SLIPS and FALLS - Paw Protect is made to be grippier than other products.  But that doesn’t mean your dog is ready to do cone drills like in the NFL.

Be extra careful if you have slick surfaces (e.g. hardwood and tile) and especially with senior dogs since their hips are more injury-prone. 

And take note if your dog’s paws are furrier than the average bear.  This means they already have an extra source of glide which could make those slips more common....speaking from experience with Davie :)

A: When properly applied, Paw Protect will not stain your carpet or flooring. It is a translucent color, but if you over-apply and get do manage to stain surfaces, soap and warm water will be sufficient to remove.
